Innovative grow lightmanagement
More growth through better controls
LED lighting technology has advanced tremendously in recent years, changing how indoor growers manage plant growth and fruiting cycles.
Led by commercial lighting designers, Lifted LED introduced all-new fixture technology resulting in greater potency and precise lighting recipes. Their custom mobile app complemented the new fixtures by giving growers unique controls through a familiar approach.

Simplifying a matrix of controls
Managing a grow room involves a wide range of variables including schedules, color spectra and dedicated growing zones.
The app needed to provide presets so less experienced growers could plug-and-play based on their general needs. For more advanced growers, the interface had to flex with custom settings that could be reused plus quick manual adjustments.
Through the discovery process, the challenge became clear: provide control over all aspects of the lighting environment without overwhelming growers with options.
A family of products
The app’s visual design aims to complement the fixtures’ technical elegance alongside the vitality of the grow room.

Designing around real grow room workflows
The system is structured around familiar grow room concepts and routines, helping experienced growers navigate the app intuitively without learning a new operational model.
Controls are organized for quick, one-handed interaction since users are often multitasking or working with limited attention and mobility.
Mirroring established grow room practices
The information architecture is organized around concepts and workflows already familiar to growers.

Balancing proven workflows with deeper customization
The lighting system ships with preset lighting recipes and schedules but facilitates advanced customization.

Designed for one-handed use in active environments
The simplified interface is optimized for thumb-driven control in demanding grow room conditions.

Adoption and ongoing growth
The app became the default method for managing Lifted’s innovative fixtures for individual growers and larger commercial operations.
As the Lifted team continued releasing new fixture designs, the app’s structure allowed new lights to be integrated into growers’ existing systems without significant updates to the app or the growers’ processes.
Feedback from growers confirmed that the design fit real working conditions: simple enough to set up quickly and see results, flexible enough to support daily use and ongoing experimentation.
